 Carlo

Meet Carlo.

Carlo was found as a stray, was picked up and was taken to the Teterboro Animal Shelter in New Jersey.

He was sprung from the shelter by Dick Schneider acting on behalf of the BCCA Beardie Rescue.

Carlo was then boarded at a Vet's kennel in the Bergen County area where he had a physical, blood tests and treatments for skin, eye, ear and teeth ailments.  His blood tests, stool and physical are negative.  He responded well and he was given a clean bill of health.

Carlo is a neutered, male Beardie approximately 8-10 years old.   He is black and white and currently clipped.  He is docile and sweet and appears to be very good with other animals.

Dick described Carlo as ``a sweet, friendly, tail wagger...".

The attendant at the shelter commented, "He is a real nice dog..."

Robin Shugg, Dolores Benzing and Carol Grzymkowski, members of the Garden State Bearded Clan, visited Carlo while he was at the shelter and at the Vet's kennel.  Robin commented that ``he seems as though he has graduated from "the school of hard knocks," yet his tail wagged as he approached us."

On Monday, August 9th, Carlo went to a foster home where he received a lot of excellent care and attention.

On Sunday, August 15th, Carlo met his new family!  He met his new ``sister", a husky-shepherd mix.  They both liked each other.

Carlo is now at home with his new family getting his second chance at life, which he so greatly deserves.

Robin couldn't have said it more beautifully when she wrote ``All those involved with Carlo were greatly touched by him and tonight we are celebrating for him".
